How To Make Your Hair Thicker And Longer Naturally

Thin and brittle hair can occur for a number of reasons, including stress, improper diet, improper hair care or genetics. Many times, what makes hair weak and dull are factors within your control. Hair goes through a lot, from styling tools and products to sun exposure and hair chemicals from an array of treatments. These factors can also hinder the growth of hair. You can try several natural and easy methods to make hair grow thicker and faster that are also cost efficient and environmentally friendly.

1. Aloe Vera

Extract the gel from an aloe vera leaf and simply rub it on your scalp. Let it sit for 30 minutes and then rinse. Do this treatment once a week for fuller, healthier hair.

2. Avocado

Mash up one half of a ripe avocado and blend in two tablespoons of olive oil. Apply this mixture to your hair and let it sit for about 20 minutes. Rinse thoroughly and follow with conditioner.

3. Castor Oil

Castor oil is extremely effective for re-growing hair. Simply apply it to your hair and scalp. Then cover your head with a hair cap or towel and leave it on for an hour or two. Shampoo and condition afterwards.

4. Coconut Oil

Massaging your scalp with coconut oil will give you thicker tresses in no time. Leave it on for 30 minutes, covering your head with a warm moist towel. Repeat weekly.

5. Flaxseeds

Eating flaxseeds provides your body with essential fatty acids that foster healthy hair growth. You can even soak a few tablespoons of seeds in water for 5 days and apply the solution to your scalp. Leave on for 10 minutes, then rinse.

6. Massage

A plain old 5-minute scalp massage before bed every night will help stimulate hair follicles and encourage new, thicker growth as well.

7. Olive Oil

Before you go to bed, apply some olive oil to your hair and scalp, then cover with a hair cap. When you wake up the next morning, wash your hair as usual.

8. Protein

Your hair is made of protein, so make sure your eating enough protein to help it stay full and healthy. Eggs, milk, cheese and turkey are all great sources.

9. Skip the Salon

Give your hair a break from harsh chemical treatments, dyes and damaging heat and styling tools. It will have time to repair itself and come back thicker and fuller.

10. Vitamin E

You probably know that vitamin E is good for your skin, but did you know it’s great for your hair too? Not only does it promote growth, it also prevents hair loss. Load up on vitamin E rich foods like spinach, red bell peppers, broccoli and greens.
